Abstract
New optical and electro-optical methods of liquid crystal (LC) director pretilt angle measurement are described for LC cells with homogeneous and inhomogeneous LC director distribution. The LC pretilt on both LC substrates can have the same or opposite direction. Phase retardation difference of both extraordinary and ordinary polarized rays passing through a LC cell with homogeneous and inhomogeneous LC director distribution has been calculated vs. the LC pretilt angle θ0 on the cell’s substrates in the range 0≤θ090°. Experimental procedure of phase retardation difference determination by measurement the LC cell transmission between crossed polarizers for the cells with the LC tilted alignment is described. The method developed can be used also in optical compensator design. A new method has been developed to measure the LC pretilt angle in the cells with sophisticated director configuration. It provides accurate data without LC cell mechanical rotation. A method of calculation of increments of the phase retardation difference for the cells with different boundary conditions and LC polarity is developed. The approach developed allows also a selection of the LC director configuration to change the LC cell phase retardation difference that can be used in optical compensator design. The method can be used for different LC cells with an arbitrary given LC director distribution and symmetric or asymmetric boundary conditions. Influence of Franck elastic coefficients on optical properties of such cells should be investigated. Main restriction of the method described is necessity of knowledge of the director distribution in the LC cell. In the case of unknown geometry of the cell application of other method (e.g., total internal reflection at the LC-orienting layer interface or reflection from an LC cell vs. applied voltage) is to use. Besides of the liquid crystal any other birefingent material can be used to develop optical elements of different application.

Abstract
The primary objective of providing information on the means of displaying the MCC is the operative provision of management professionals a full range of reliable spacecraft flight data. This allows a more objective to conduct a rapid assessment of situations in order to predict their development. The efficiency of information perception specialist depends on the composition and presentation of data. Communication effectiveness of the perception and presentation of the data is shown in the cognitive load on the specialist. Effective perception of information is possible with the introduction of virtual reality technology and adaptive control. Its can combine telemetry, ballistic calculations and data on the geometry of the satellites in a single visual representation and provide timely information to professionals.

Abstract
This paper studies the problem of thin layers of azo dyes formation. In particular using spin-coating often leads to formation of tiny crystals in the molecular film, which affects the value of saturated dichroism in absorbing film. The authors suggest Mayer-Rod Coating as an alternative method for deposition of thin films. The film quality was estimated by investigation of the photoalignment dynamics of azo dyes. It is shown that dyes films deposited by rod coating exhibit improved photosensitivity, higher saturation value of the photoinduced absorption dichroism in comparison with the films obtained by spin-coating.

Abstract
New applications of liquid crystal materials in fabrication processes of LC panels, 3D displays, organic semiconductor and photonic devices has significantly broadened the requirements to the performance and characteristics of modern alignment materials. Development of novel alignment materials is impossible without effective and reliable control of the anchoring energy of the materials. However the present measurement methods of these parameters often being of low precision have high labour intensity of measurement. In this paper the authors’ principles of simultaneous measurement of azimuthal and polar anchoring energy of liquid crystal within single twist-nematic lqiudi crystal cell are presented. The innovative measurement methods are implemented in setup for simultaneous measurement of azimuthal and polar anchoring energy of liquid crystal within cell in automatic regime based on series polarizing microscope «Micro 200T» JSC ‘Optoelectronic Systems’, Belarus.

Abstract
Selection of the essential parameters and conditions of molecules reorientation in non-helix FLC allowed to reduce the optical response time of a display cell to 24 μs and to increase the frequency of light modulation in the soliton mode up to 7 kHz at the control voltage ± 1.5 V.

Abstract
A technology, that allows production effective x-ray luminescent phosphors Zn3(PO4)2:Mn2+ with nanosized particles from the water solution by sol-gel method, and directional regulated their luminescence color from green to red was developed. A x-ray intensity and spectra, phase structure, and surface properties of synthesized samples depending on the synthesis conditions was studied. A conditions of phosphors heat treatment, after which the samples is stabile from interaction with the water environment was found.

Abstract
The quantum-chemical modeling of structures of new dyes - diethyl 2,2'- ([1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diylbis(azanediil)diacetate (M13) and sodium 2-hydroxy-5-((2-methoxy-4((4-sulfophenyl)diazenil)phenyl)diazenil)benzoate (M12) absorbing in the near-UV and visible regions of the spectrum in the ab initio HF 6-31G followed by their synthesis was investigated. Electronic absorption spectra (in a solution of dimethylformamide (DMF)) containing one absorption band with a maximum at 448 nm - M12 and 297 nm - M13 were calculated. There is a high degree of correspondence between the calculated and experimental data (≥95%). Wideband polarizer films based on polyvinyl alcohol, disazodyes and synthesized compounds polarizing in a wide spectral range (280-685 nm) were developed. Their spectral and polarization characteristics were studied. Polarization effect in the said spectral range is 90-99 % was found.

Abstract
Building a three-dimensional image is achieved by using special devices - 3D glasses, which split the screen image into two channels - sub-frames for the left and the right eye. Ideally, 3D glasses allow the right eye to perceive only one sub-frame 3D images, the left - the other. However, real devices do not achieve complete isolation of the channels, allowing brightness leakage between the channels, so-called crosstalk. Crosstalk is one of the most important features in determining the quality of 3D images perception. Its measurement method is based on the on screen output and registration of the test images - a combination of white, black and gray stripes - for the left and right eyes. This paper presents the results of works on fabrication of achromatic quarter-wave phase re-tarders and circular polarizers based on them, as well as the results of cross-talk measurements of passive circular 3D glasses developed at IChNM NAS Belarus.

Abstract
The method of polarizing holography, in liquid crystal composites created the polarizing holographic gratings which supramolecular structure can be operated. Influence of an azimuthal angle of polarization of a probe beam on diffraction efficiency of such gratings, and also distinction in polarizing conditions of the diffracted and not diffracted light is investigated. Electrooptical effects are studied, possibility of thermooptical switching of gratings is shown.

Abstract
Zero of dispersion function from second Stokes problem are investigated. Second problem Стокса is a problem about behavior of the rarefied gas filling half-space. The plane limiting half-space, makes harmonious oscillations. It is used linear kinetic ellipsoidal statistical equation with parameter. The factorization formula to dispersion function is proved. By means of the factorization formula are found zero of dispersive function in an explicit form and their research depending on quantity of dimensionless frequency of a plane limiting gas and equation parameter is carried out.

Abstract
Method for the construction of discontinuous interlinational polynomial splines that bring discontinuous functions of two variables with discontinuities of the first kind on the lines of a two-dimensional triangulation. Spline as a special case, include discontinuous and continuous splines. We formulate and prove a theorem on the general form of the approximation error in the integral form.
