Это событие явилось одним из важных эпизодов в предыстории открытия универсальной функции Кирхгофа. Открытие этой функции М. Планком в декабре 1900 г. привело к постепенному развитию квантовой теории и установлению квантовой механики в 1926-1926 гг. и фактически явилось началом новой физической эпохи - эпохи квантовой физики.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper discusses the history of the discovery of the Rayleigh-Jeans law of thermal radiation. This discovery was an important step in the prehistory of the discovery of the universal Kirchhoff function. The discovery of this function by M.
